OT - Head unit advice

Hi all been a while since i posted on here!

Just wanted some opinions. I am going to buy an alpine head unit but wasn't sure whether to go for the 9853r with the glide touch or the 9883r. Both about the same price after ipod connector bought.

Just wasn't sure if people had any experience with alpines glide touch system as the 9853 is my prefered choice but if the glide touch is pooh then not much point in getting it.

I have the glide touch one and I can't really say I'm a big fan to be honest. It's especially annoying and probably dangerous when trying to find songs on an mp3 disc whilst driving!

One point as well, if you're playing an mp3 disc, when you skip a track it doesn't tell you what the next one is, just just says "skip" or something. You have to wait a while to hear the song before you know what it is.

Must admit that the sound quality is second to none!!
