Hey guys long time no speak,

I wana take on some serious lights as mentioned above in the subject. Is there and dangers in the wireing for these lights on my uno 1100?

I some of you have succesfully wired these beauties to your Uno's please help me in working out a funtional set up as i am afraid of wires melting so i have heard Italian wireing is not of the best...

Thanx again for you support.... :worship:

100/90W are not homologated to be used on european roads, but still I use them in new carello front units of my fiat regata, No problems with melted lamps, switches, burnt cables or connectors.

But the difference in "light ammount" between 100/90 and good quallity{ and street legal , at least in Europe, have no info about Namibia regulations :) } allweather 60/55 is marginal, 100/90 are generating much more heat, and few percent more light.

thx for your reply panda but i dont understand a word on your blogspot and the pictures dont show.mybe if you can give a explaination in english?

thx

I've got a set of 100w/55w bulbs in my Tub. Best to do the relay thing first, Alex put up a guide to DIY or if you're lazy like me a loom is cheap off ebay and come with ceramic sockets etc.

You get a pretty good boost off the relays alone but if you're still not happy you can then just chuck some bulbs in and be pretty safe.

Hi guys,

SORRY i did not replay earlier to say thanx for the tut especialy to Alex.

Cheers mates, will give it a shot!!!

PS. Alex does his mean even if i fit 60/55w bulbs there will be much more improvement in light? as in your picture? why i ask this is because i am starting to get cold feet to fit the 100w/90 bulbs

Fanx

Hey guys,

I fitted normal 60/55w xenon look bulbs from osram think they were 4000k. had the lights adjusted by a garage and there was some improment on the dimm. the brights were showing awesome. and yes i did not need any relays and no wires burning.

Off topic: I did encounter a rather strange problem. my uno has been idle for two whole month's now.i fited the lights a week ago and must have fiddled near ground cable on right hand side from standing in front of car. when i switch car on the temp, petrol gauge and dash dour lights acted rather weird. even the car stereo.lights where not working and engine did not wana shut down! Phwee... did it give me an head ach. so i fiddled with wires pulling and hoping to find some thing,,,, just when a touched the earth cable and started the car all seemed fine.

Man how is that for weirdness, i thought my car was possessed by ghosts...

Cheers mates, complain to you soon.

Max
