It's your car.
To me it sends the message: "here is a man who bought his girlfriend Canal No.5 for Christmas" (and expects us to be fooled).

Not what i would go for.... What im thinking on doing( it the car passes its mot) is to wrap the roof black and have the wheels painted black... Maybe some rear window tints....
As fingers says, it's your car so do what you want, but you'll not fool anyone into thinking it's actually carbon. If you want to wrap it for protective purposes, then I'd agree with scott and go for a simple black.
If you want people to think you have a carbon bonnet, get a carbon bonnet made up. At least that'll be saving weight rather than adding.
