Noticed that - if its only $80 a barrel then why the hell isn't petrol under a pound a litre again?
I'd doubt very much it'll EVER be under a pound/litre regularly again. The oil companies/government obviously now know we're willing to pay whatever we're charged, so they're unlikely to let it drop again![]()

No the price of diesel and petrol should not have a 14p gap - regardless of mpg, I shouldn't be forced to pay more for fuel because my car is possibly economical than other cars (plus my re-map and driving style on the motorway when I am late for work don't really give me great mpg).
There was never that big a gap in the two fuel types a few years ago, its a joke.
