Basicly.. I ned your help.

I recently bought an engine to drop into my bravo a 1.3 Turbo IE. Uno Engine. Problem is I'm having trouble finding certain parts for the engine, but I can get parts through work, but the parts service works on the basis that they need a Reg number to order the parts to (in the sense that they run the details up find out the exact engine spec and get the perfect parts) without a reg I cant get the parts to re-con the engine. Ive tried looking on google to find pictures of cars with the same engine and give them that reg, to no avail

Would someone who has this engine in their Uno be able to provide me with a reg so I can order tha gasket sets etc?

Im not trying to clone anybody or anything, I am just doing an engine swap into my Modded Bravo 1.2SX

Cheers

Andy

The engine number/spares number should be sufficient for any decent parts centre to get what you're looking.

Reg numbers are generally the "last resort" with finding the right part for the vehicle/engine.

The other issue with the Uno T engine (1301cc) is the number of incarnations of differing gearboxes, and types of this engine. Essentially they're all very similar, but the small differences may mean the difference between the right and wrong part for your particularly year of your engine.

That said, if you want to take a chance, I'm happy to give to a reg number, which you *could* try. The car is now scrapped, and according to DVLA been scrapped for a good few years. But the Fiat Database should hold the information as a MK1 Fiat Uno Turbo IE, (1989 plate), 1301cc engine, with the Tipo gearbox. Reg: F913 NLM.

As mentioned above though, there's no guarrantee that that reg will bring the right parts for your engine though, as you could have a very early 1298cc Engine, or slightly later 1301cc engine but with a Strada box. But see how you get on.

:)
