Hi,

I heard there is no ECU or OBD ports in Uno Diesel 1.7.

But is there any way to hook up anything to bring the dash board displays to digital..??

like rpm, speedo, fuel gauge, temperature etc. in an different display for eg: consider feeding this to a carputer using roadrunner interface.

any help ???

ps: i am an novice

hi thanks for the reply.

can anything like ECM/ECU to be implemented off stock in Uno Diesel?

I'm probably not the right person to ask as I have no idea about the electronics on your diesel, if there even is any! - i have read a bit about the megasquirt system / others available, and understand it for a petrol engine (well pretty much). I've also done quite a bit to do with intelligent car computers.
Can you not tell me exactly what it is you are trying to do? / what kit have you already got? how much do you want to spend? what country are you from (for parts etc) ?

If anyone else has any ideas just jump in (its pretty deep water!)

Hi,
i saw the megasquirt but i guess its for petrol mpfi engine.

iam from india and Uno Diesel sold in India werent turbos.here is the link for specifications

http://www.cybersteering.com/cbmain/smlcars/unodsl.html

to be frank even i am not sure how to explain :bang:.like in modern vehicles in india even the low end cars are having an ecu with an obd socket for garage use. but we can get data from connecting a scantool to it and get it displayed in the carscreen of ICE just for thrill.

is some thing possible with this diesel engine?

Ok, well i see what you are saying, but for your Uno, diesel, without a _lot_ of work and money i can't see it being a viable solution for you really.
Enless of course this roadrunner thing you mention can take analogue inputs and then output digital to an input of a carputer; then you're going to be fighting this one for a long time.
