I am not saying any of you brainy guys would fall for this, but, just to let you know. There is an e-mail chain letter flying around offering free M & S vouchers. This has already been denied by both the firms involved (M & S and persimmon homes)

I got that email the other day... I never read into these kinda things so it went straight into my deleted items!

Another pointless post by me again!! Hehe :)

re

my gf forwarded this on the other day :( lol i thought i had convinced her never to send on chain emails. . . its such a con

is that the one that promised £500 of vouchers for just 20 emails?

I would have thought that was a warning sign to most people.

just think, if those 20 emailed 20 each, there would be £200,000 of vouchers going out for just 400 people knowing of the offer.

You could probably get kylie to hand deliver 400 leaflets advertising the shop for that much :)

Another one going round for sony erikkson. yes spelt like that.

the bit i really dont get about these chain mail is what the creator gets out of it. whats so great about fooling fools?

I got one from a Dell techie?!?! He must've been seeing dollar signs in front of his eyes...moron.

I'm guessing that they need some sort of revenge against someone.

It usually says to forward the email to 20 people you know and also send a copy to such and such a person (who is supposed to be to originator of the marketing strategy)

Well i suppose a few hundred people would then be stupid enough to believe it and would indeed send a few hundred emails to the poor person listed on the email.

More of an inconvenience to the person recieving the emails than a real problem......but who knows how the minds of the email originators work?
