Nothing but trouble

My 1999 fiat bravo leaks.
Electric sunroof is broken.
Clutch went, cost me 300 quid to fix.
Speedo works on and off, when it feels like it.
Boot light has gone.
All in all its cost me a load of money ans everytime I get in it to drive something breaks on it.
Oh yeah, revs drop do low when it stops or slows down that it stalls.
Not a happy fiat owner.

You've come to the right place. Most of those issues are either dealt with in the repair guide or answered before on the forum. Sounds like you have a wrongun mind but I'd expect the clutch on an 8 year old car to be on it's last legs really.

with a name like nicki id expect female and she wont do the guides lol

this said sunroof seal is **** to change. whilst ur there clean the channels as they will be blocked

the sun roof motor is **** to change i think u drop the light and then unscrew it swap it and go

faulty connections on ur dash

clutch well tahts sorted now

suspension will be nex to go along with the exhaust but dont worry cos before that happens ur tyres will go bang on a dark back road

problems i had within a month of buying.

CLUTCH WENT, WAS STUCK IN 4TH.

DOWNPIPE WAS BLOWING MORE THAN PAMELA ANDERSON ON A BOAT.

HEADGASKET BLEW

HAD 6 NEW TYRES WITHIN PAST 18 MONTHS, COZ OF PUNCTURES AND MY NEIGHBOUR THINKIN IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO SLASH MY REAR TYRES.
(she got her commuppance) hehe

NEW BRAKE PADS

POWERSTEERING BELT SNAPPED

FUSES STARTED BLOWING RIGHT LEFT AND CENTRE

SUNROOF STICKS ON OCCASION AND LEAKS

REAR WIPER STICKS AND FINDS IT FUNNY TO START TICKING, EVEN AFTER I TURN IT BACK OFF

NUMEROUS SPARK PLUG CHANGES

2 SETS ON HT LEADS PLUS THE ONES THAT WERE WITH IT.

COIL PACK

TO TOP IT OFF I REVERSED INTO A WALL AND HAD TO BUY A NEW REAR LIGHT.
I ALSO HAVE 2 SPARE REAR LIGHTS IN MINT CONDITION IF ANYONE WANTS THEM

plus the first set of ht leads were gettin old, the new ones fell apart they were ****, and the 3rd set i have now or banging.

anyone know of anywhere online i can get a sunroof seal from? Used sealant on mine for now, but want to have it working for the summer

As for the revs going down and stalling, you have to go to a FIAT dealer and do a Electronics check, they should reprogram it, and FREE of charge!

Thankyou for all of your suggestions. Yes I am a girl who hasn't gotta clue, and would happily pay someone to fix all the faults for a reasonable price.
I Failed to mention exhaust already blew and has been repaired, and my back windowscreen wiper doesn't work.
Plus I heard fiat would charge loads if I took car to them to fix.
Is there a kind soul who lives near Liverpool who could fix my car for me??!! (its worth a ask!! I'll pay too!!)

im not near liverpool, no where near in fact

but as i said i can probably get a sunroof motor and rear wiper motor for you (crashed a hgt just before new years and want to buy it back now the insurance is sorted) so fingers crossed i can sort you both out for a reasonable cost...

orrrrrrrr make it to a show or meet and we can all pitch in while were there, wont be the first time a cars been worked on at a show

Don't be too shy to go to a meet. You probably wouldn't be the only girl there if that's what you're worrying about, maybe the only girl actually driving a bravo, but that's beside the point. As a long suffering BOO girlfriend, i get dragged (willingly) to most meets, and usually end up helping the boys fix the cars cos they cant cope on there own

Not all bravo's are bad, sounds like you've been unlucky though...

Kate we only get you too help because we dont want you feeling left out, so we make it look like we have lost the plot (in my case thats fairly easy i will admit)

Nikki, i can see whats happening with getting my car back from the insurance and let you know what id like for the wiper and sunroof motors if you like including postage?

if you were to make it to a meet we wouldnt be that bad, well we can be but Kate would hurt us. plus a few of us bring other halves along to the meets / shows (Kate being a real regular)so female company wouldnt be a miss
