Hi Guys,

Ok I've owned a couple of older Fiats as run arounds in the past and have to say great cars for me, never had any issues at all very pleased with both. Now the reason I'm on here today is I'm after some paint code advise, firstly if I tell you what I'm up to and why.... I've restored an old Impreza and to near finish it I am having a set of wheels I have picked up second hand refurbished, I want to do them gold as it follows the rally heritage and there's so many golds available but I want one with some depth and bite to it, there's orange golds and yellow golds and they just do not cut it for my vision.

I have found a snippet from a guy that has used a Fiat gold and it's stunning, first off here's a sample square he had painted then the wheel itself he painted, on the one picture you see the original wheel and just how what it looks OEM.

I've looked around and found this Punto for sale and to me I feel it may just be that gold, I phoned a dealer explained my plan and asked if they could give me the colour code, well the search worked and he confirmed yes it's Gold lol but could not be more detailed.

Here's the wheels for refurb....

And I know a lot of people say gold wheels ewww but here's an example of one odd gold one that I do have, it's OEM Revolution but still does not have the depth and tone I'm thinking of...

If anyone has a gold Punto or if anyone could supply the paint code it would be great, I'll get a sample square knocked up first off and see what it looks like against the gold one I have.

Many thanks guys hope this is ok for a first post :D

Regards
Simon

Mint looking classic you have there! Got any links to your restoration thread?

Hi Alan thanks mate and good god there Subaru owners everywhere it just shows they are second for most people. I also use a landrover forum and there's a few lurking on there as well lol

Yes I have a project thread... Umm it started as a refresh as they all do but soon turned into something else, grab a brew before you settle down to read it is my best advice (y)

I need five posts to link it hang on...

Enjoy :)

Hi Simon,

Well yesterday I read all 39 pages! Truly is a credit to you that car! It even inspired me to go out and spend hours cleaning and fiddling with my scoob and get it ready for the summer. Nowhere near the level of yours though!

Hi Alan (y) pleased you had a good read there and I'm apparently guilty of more than a couple of people now taking their cars apart I've started something :D

What are you running there bud ? As you see I did go a bit deep but I'm pleased now and you have to be analytical when the car is in a thousand parts you can drown in it if your not careful.

That gold is a perfect match to oem Revolution, I'll talk with the powder coating company tomorrow and heck they can supply that shade.

How mad is
