Technical non workin turbo

Hi, is it possible to drive the coupe 16v turbo with a non functioning Turbo, without casuing damage? Will the car function as a normally aspirated 16v. I am looking to buy one and the TC is not cutting in. Thanks

No. It won't work. You'll have to rev the nuts off it to pull away, it'll plume smoke, the longer you drive it about with a non-functioning turbo the more damage you risk. I've tried to drive a coop when the turbo has Fubar'd and it's almost impossible. the turbo seems to choke the engine.

Also the Cat + exhaust would be ruined in no time.
