your not alone mate left the car at girlfriends overnight and used her car instead.
only just got it going this morning after having the starter motor turning for about 20 seconds :s errr safe.
Just a few Qs:
1. what is the temp. in England when your batteries die like that?
2. do your batteries have refill plugs, or are they closed?
3. how old are they?
hahaha i can join ya mate. my hlx had barely enough power to turn over this morning.just managed to start, but it reset my clock stereo and my mileage meter as well oh well could be new battery job then!
Temp didnt seem that cold last night. Only had battery 15 month but it does get slightly hammered with all my blue lights, strobes, big amp and HU always on full
I've got my new Optima red top sat here nice and snug in my room with me. Should be out on the car really, but it's too cold to go out and swop em!
Told my mechanic it has trouble starting sometimes, and he pointed out that the crappy halfords I had under the hood wasn't really sufficient to get my 5 cylindars started.
The red tops cost 150+ rrp, but that guy on aby we discussed in past thread, just keeps putting em up for bidding starting at a hundred, so figured can't go far wrong. Does it just to keep his turnover going I guess.
I've had the heavy-duty Halfords batt on for about 18 months now and had no problems. Whilst away the car wasn't started for 10 days and even at -2 it started on the first turn.
