I have two problems with my little 94 Punto :(

1st one is, sometimes not all the time, something around by my break fluid makes a knocking/clicking noise. Comes when I turn the key to first position. Engine doesn't have to be started. Usually goes by the time I have down the drive!

2nd is all of a sudden sometimes again, when I turn left or right, occasionally my steering wheel, or maybe even indicators makes a beep noise. Not all the time and it only started today. I think it has only happened when indicators have been on. Other than that steering wheel has been a tad more squeaky than usual.

I also wondered if pollen filters been blocked would stop my heating working on settings 1 and 2. Heats up as normal and all that. Setting 3 works, but 1 and 2 don't work at all.

Just done oil change with new filter and rocker box cover gasket as had a bad leak. Changed oil light switch as I had a faulty one too.

I'm new to doing my own car repairs so ain't very technical lol! Help in the easiest way possible would be amazing! Hopefully its simple and easy stuff that I can do myself, need to get it sorted as my son is due anytime! I have a manual if that helps too!

Thanks in advance! :)

Not sure what's under the black cover at the bottom of the windscreen but behind the brake fluid but that is where the noise is coming from. Its on the drivers side!

How easy will it be to fix that problem myself? 3 still works though?

I had problems with my Punto a clicking noise coming from where brake fluid res was and I found it was coming from behind the scuttle panel it turned out to be the wiper motor relay making the clicking noise I took out the wiper and greased all joints and cleaned inside little box on it and put it back also does your intermediate wiper work mine didn't so I placed a piece of cardboard in between cover on wiper relay box and it has been fine ever since the clicking noise is where the wiper hasn't got to its resting point before relay switches off so if it clicks again put wiper on and turn it off again clicking should of stopped

The resistor pack should be behind fan motorin the passenger side footwell you are looking for a plastic unit that has one screw in it and a connector to it just replace that and it will work on all speeds then
