Try using some punctuation as it makes things easier to read.

You've answered your own question. Fix the fault and it will start.

sorry didnt know punc was a big problem an was askin why does light go out if its sayin its not reciving

It just makes it far easier to work out what you are goin on about.

If the cam sensor is busted then fix that.

As you are so critical about punctuation, try putting the letter "g" on the end of "goin".

Be nice, Thomas - we all make mistakes.

the G on the end of going isn't punctuation. Goin is slang (I think)

it's the ,.;:' that's punctuation.

ANYWAY:

It does make posts easier to read. Just putting a gap between the relevant paragraphs even if you miss out all the ,.:;' helps a great deal.

However in answer to the question, if you have been told that a part is broken/at fault, would it not make sense to fix that part first, then try the car again.

upon further reading of the post it would seem you want to know why the key code light goes out but the car still won't start, is this correct?

My understanding of the key code light is that it will go out if it reads the code from the key and is only concerned with the immobiliser.

Therefore if the key is in the ignition, the light would go out regardless of wether the actual car would run due to other ignition related problems.

If your key code light remains on then you seem to have more problems than just the cam sensor (can't remember what you said was faulty now :) )

thanks steve .light does go out just on diognostics its saying no signal recived key code any ideas. cam sensor i have ordered not a problem but key is worrying me as cam sensor would stop spark not fuel is that right

Ok, so

When you turn the ignition on, the key code light comes on, the injector light comes on, the battery/ignition and oil lights come on. (all normal ie what normally happens when you start it)

Can you hear the fuel pump pressurising the system? does the injector light go off (as the system pressurises)?

Then the key code light goes off? yes?

Does it then turn over but not fire?

According to the Haynes manual "during starting, engine timing cannot be established until the crankshaft has started and rotated at least twice.

During this time, banked injection is employed, ie fuel is injected into all cylinders simultaneously until the correct timing can be established"

Therefore if you aren't gettiing fuel through then you may have to check fuel lines, pump, filters etc.
