Technical No power to starter motor hi a

hi the other day my 1.6 elx 2001 multipla wodnt start i put this down to starter motor so i changed it (no change) so i checked to see if i had an earth prob that looks fine then i was told to check to see if i had power goin to the starter by arckin the leads .I had no power goin to the starter i was told this could be down to a fuse/relay/switch but witch 1 might it be and where would i find it can anyone please advise thanx:bang:

I got a2000 model 1.6 witch had this problem took all fuses out 1 by one and turned out it was one of the to red fuses on the right hand side of the fuse box I didn't really wanna do tht so went to a private mechanic and he said it was one of the 2 and sorced one off a scrap multipla as motor spare places aint cheap not to sure how he found out for deffo but hope this helps

Thanks ill check that but ive just found a broken earth strap not sure if this could be it but im sure ive read on ere some one with the same prob and it was a earth strap
