Technical No LCD and starter

Hi looking for any info to follow up on ..

Thought the starter had packed up ..
And LCD working..
Changed starter and now no LCD display and no power to starter ..can hear relay clicking..
Any pointers to look out for ??

May be worth checking small wire connections on starter solenoid are correct.

I've checked and re checked this ..all looks fine and correct orientation

Yeah I can see all the connections tightening and making contact when doing up the last nut on the starter ...all works ..when frigging out with a wire jumper ..just no power to starter when using ignition just the relay clicking..also no LCD ( back light is ok ) as soon as car unlocked..

Back light LCD may be unrelated.
Incidentally can you hear the fuel pump in the tank?
Reason for question is some years ago I had a 06 Fiat Grande Punto 1.3MJ with engine damage caused by idiots towing due to starter not working after they had fitted a new starter and battery, I bought the car cheap as timing had slipped causing other damage when they towed it.
I located the issue to the fuel pump relay under the bonnet which also activated the starter, powering up the relay got it working, but the cause was a thin wire at ECU plug on O/S inner wing had rotted through that triggers the relay, when pulled the plastic cover stretched as wire rooted through.

After attempting a bump start .. unsuccessfully I got the AA for to tow to nearest garage..I explained the symptoms...and mentioned the potentially broken wire..see pic ..
He kindly repaired this ..and car starts now ..

Still no LCD ...but now have power steering symbol on dash ......

The power steering light on the dash went off ...bonus ...
