No Haynes manual for JTD 1999!

Hello, can anyone tell me why there is not a Haynes manual for the Brava JTD 1.9 version of the 1999 diesel model?
It is so annoying as my hubby can fix most things but as there is no manual for this we have to rely on garages for doing the smaller jobs that he could be doing!
I now have a new rear windscreen wiper motor that my hubby purchased from a popular internet channel and now he has been sent to the Middle East and so I will have to wait until he comes back to fit it. Can anyone tell me is changing this a hard job or could a mere female manage to do this with instuctions?
Thanks for reading my plea!
Terri

yes its a pain that the manual doesnt cover the jtd engine, but the instructions for removing/fitting the majority other components that are not related to the engine will be the same

Okay

Hi there
Thanks for that I know that the other Haynes manual covers most things but am not sure if the rearscreen wiper motor will be the same in it?
We are also having a problem with the turbo side of the car as it seems to have lost its ooomph! If you see what i mean. It just doesn't seem to have the ability for the turbo there, not sure why but think this may be very expensive to fix!
Thanks

iam 99% sure the rear wiper motor is the same on all bravos. if you pop to your loacal fiat they will tell u but iam sure others on here will tell u if they are too. as for the turbo can be an easy fix, common faults are egr valve or MAF sensor. if its the MAF sensor the car will loose power after 2.500-3000 revs. Iam not sure what exact symptoms a faulty EGR valve probably a lack of power.

there are guides for removing them-

Thanks

Thats great my hubby did mention something about the sensor after he had taken it to a local garage to have a look at it.
Thanks for the info and links i will pass that information onto my hubby when he returns!
Cheers

Get the haynes manual for bodywork and most electricals, then a porters manual for the diesel engine. Its still not that good as a haynes but its better than no manual.

Wiper motor is easy to change. I know I changed Roberto's for him, with a little bit of help from Tommy. If I remember rightly we did it in the rain at a show...

I've just done a search for the Porters manual and it appears to have been discontinued.
There's a guide on this site for refitting the rear window wash hose for the bravo and the motor replacement is a few logical steps beyond that. Make sure you get the right motor for your car - there is a difference between Mk1 and Mk2 and Bravo/Brava.
The porters manual is a bit vague in places but it sounds like the power loss is probably where other users have suggested. Don't go unbolting the turbo just yet! :)
