Hello,

Adding this to the forum to help other Sedici owners who may encounter a similar problem... so have described symptom and fix.

Have a 56 plate, 1.9 diesel, Multijet, Sedici that suffered a total power loss a few months ago and needed recovering to the garage to be sorted and repaired under warranty.

After driving the car to the supermarket with no faults.
Switched off the ignition and left the car. Tried to use the key remote for the central locking and noticed wasnt working.
Tried key in door lock... no central locking again. Tried key in ignition... completely dead. No dashboard lights/interior lights. Zero electrics!!! Main fuse had blown for no obvious reason.

Garage didnt beleive us when we called them and said "it wasn't the battery" and sent a mechanic with jump leads.
Loved to say "told you so"... but even the mechanics couldn't find where the main fuse was!! :ROFLMAO:
(It is located just off the battery power lead and concealed in a black plastic box. It is not displayed in the handbook).
Sadly, think the main fuse is a special order part and not meant to be messed with... so car had to be recovered.

Dont be put off... The Sedici is a great, underated car.:slayer:

This is a rare fault. After researching the net have found only one similar thing happened to a Suzuki SX4 (identical car to the Sedici). In the thread, a member suggests the only time they've known a main fuse to blow is when somebody crossed jump leads while attempting to give a jump.

Definitely not the case here.

Garage later traced fault to a faulty alternator and replaced under warranty free of charge.

Battery was fine.

So far, so good.

Hope this helps. :)
