Technical no dial illumination

last of my annoying threads i swear, all the lights are fine on my dials for oil, EML, handbrake etc etc however the whole unit does not light up when you have your dips or main beams on which i fine during the day however at night the dials are almost completely dark and ive no idea what speed i am doing, checked all the fuses under the dash and there all fine, is this just a simple bulb or two gone between the cluster? or something else? and is it a quick fix to change the bulbs?

Your dimmer switch might be broke. Check it first

seems to be the switch if i hold it in a certain way they light up

Theyre simple to replace. Remove the surround, 4 x 5hex screws and a phillips in the fusebox. Held in with clips after that, be careful. Disconnect the wiring, remove the 2 screws for the switch
