Hi all just joined. Ducato 250 at the moment.
Hi there, recently joined too.
How are you finding your Ducato? What size engine is yours, auto / manual do you have the electronic dipstick setup, did yours need the software update?
Regards Rick.

Hi Rick
2.3 multijet manual gearbox. I bought it as non runner. It had been to 2 workshops. Timing belt had jumped after a hard frost and broke all rockers. I removed engine to freshen it up. Just ready to refit so in relation to your software question I'm still waiting to look at that. Manual dipstick. I'll hopefully be able to update soon. John

Hi John,
That sounds like a great project, something I would have revelled in when younger and more able.
I’ve heard this can be a common thing with these in extreme cold as water can get in the cam cover and freeze especially if the scuttle drain is blocked with leaves.
Glad you’ve got the manual dipstick, wish we had.
Our software update was related to horsepower rating and the auto box, although we wouldn’t have known had it not been for an observant diligent dealer.
However it’s always worth checking especially with all the tech that’s sadly fitted these days.
Do you have the adblue system on yours? That’s an another thing to worry about especially crystallisation and daylight degradation. Never understand why garages and supermarkets display it outside surely they must know.
Hope you are back up and running soon.
All the best,
Rick

No adblue. The scuttle was badly fitted at some point. In relation to software, I usually leave it alone if there are no issues.
