What mileage? People are going to ask.
At that year it's crucial that you check/replace (especially the connection points) the two earth straps, (from the battery to the chassis & the chassis to the gearbox) these earth straps are what causes many problems.
Also, it'll be a good investment, to get a copy of MultiECUScan, to diagnose and fix many issues with you car.
(I have the same vehicle, and it requires the yellow adaptor, and an ELM 327 interface cable)

Had my 1st major problem,warning lights bulb out number plate so replaced great I thought,shut boot couldn't open it again,remote would open it,no central locking nothing, so joined this site,so glad I did only had the car 2days Problem solved .....Turned out to be wiring loom on boot lid about 4-6 broken wires all sorted now
