Bought a 1981 X-1/9. Good shape. A small area of minor rust on the door. Paid $1000. No rust around the important spots. Has been stored for many years...30,000 miles. Solid.
Will run. All I can say is that I will have many questions. I love this car and all the other crazy persons who own them. Can't wait to get it running. It is badged as a Bertone. Thought that didn't happen until 1982.
Any thoughts on that?

Prior to '82, Bertone furnished the bodies so it was badged FIAT *and* Bertone. For '82-on, FIAT supplied the engines to Bertone and the cars were badged Bertone only. At least, that's the history as I know it.

If you haven't already, make a hello post on xwebforums and you'll probably find another X owner near you. Helpful if you have a part in your hand and no clue where it went.
