Hi all

I'm Sam, I'm 18, i live i france but want to move back to the uk soon. I am Ford and Fiat fan. I have a mk2 fiesta and a mk5 escort rs2000 and my daliy a 1999 fiat panda, I'm a fan of retro looking cars and would like to make my car more retro. I've found some steels from a brava will thay fit? and would also like to lower it. How do i do this, i only have a small budjet so are there other parts in the fiat range that i can use to make it lower?

cheers all

hmm looks like a nice panda!

lowering it only makes it look more modern and causes the exhaust to hit the floor if you go over a bump.

to be really retro, you could always just lift the back end up. haha

joking aside, you want to look out for "car accessories" that were all the rage back in the late 70's and 80's ;)

I always fancied putting some 1970s 127 or 128 steel wheels with chrome hubcaps on a Panda or Y10. That would give a retro look with a wide and cheap tyre choice.

Yellow P45 headlamp bulbs will add 80's look for deffo.

It's not purly classic retro but retro slam-ish, where is scottyy's thread

First photo setup do looks fine.

Looks like a promising start. Personally if you want to make it a bit more interesting I'd try and fit the older style slatted plastic grill, not a direct fit but not complicated to persuade on, wider Brava steels sound promising, fitment will be about right (5.5x14?)but you'll probably find you have to scale down the tyres a bit from Brava standard, depends on model they're off.(Looks like only 4" rims on yours now) Mild lower as suggested in your other thread, coachlines down the side, maybe clear indicators if that's your taste (not strictly retro but tidier) Y10 steering wheel bolts straight on and you're probably more likely to find one in France, much nicer than the Panda standard.
