hi just registered to the forum. would need some help modifying my 1.9 multijet. where to start etc. im thinking of lowering and new wheels to start with. eibach lowering springs are still the best? and whats the biggest wheels and tyres I can fit safely after the lowering? I just don't like the standard 17" wheels and 205/45 17 is also too small to me. thanks (y)

Hi mate first off allow me to welcome you to the Fiat Forum and more importantly.. The Grande Punto Family ;)

I own a 1.9 M-jet and have lowered with Eibach sportlines by far the best on the market and a very much loved spring selection on this Forum.
As for wheels I too have 17' alloys and to me this size suits the grande best i think any bigger would start to look a tad out of balence. But personal prefrences and all that.
I have seen some grandes with 16' alloys too which are just on the limit of the other end of the scale again my oppinion.
Get some pictures of you car up or start a members thread so all us nosey fiat guys can have a gander :D we like a good nosey round othere peoples cars.

Jordan.

hi nice one thanks mate! I will buy eibach lowering springs that's the first on my list.
but as for the wheels I'm really thinking of buying the ACE 205 Manta alloys.
7.5 x 18 so I will have to put 215 35 18 on them is that right? you reckon with eibach springs and these wheels on I will have any problems like rubbing or something?
yeah I will upload some pics but now the car is just a black standard 1.9 multijet, no mods at all just bought it 3 days ago :D

If u have 45/17 tyres on at mine then they shud b bout same size overall circumference so tyre she b fine with springs. Nice choice gettin 18s think thy will look the mint when there on.

well the wheel is hyper black I wonder how they look like in real: not allowed to post links, but it's the ACE 205 Manta in hyperblack I think it's sick :D
rare is good and guess what it's full leather inside :)

dark grey but the paintwork is not perfect so i want to fix it and i like the black color better... found some guide for changing the fan and heater bulbs

finally I managed to get rid of my old car so I got some money now :D
booked in the garage next Friday and will get lowering springs, new brake sets, and the calipers painted. new wheels and tyres next month... but I still don't know which eibach springs to buy? sportsline or the pro kit? which one of these 2 will make the front and rear wheel gaps look exactly the same on my 1.9 mj sporting? thanks for help :worship:

you've paid a garage to paint the calipers?

as with the springs,
pro kit gives you a more approx 35-40 drop with more comfort
and the sportlines give you a 40-50mm drop and obviously i more harsh ride

yeah they will do the painting as well.. not sure about the springs maybe I should buy some cheaper coilovers? I need to choose this weekend and order them on Monday :bang:
