What are the lights below the headlights and above the fog lights called???

The lights that come on with the engine running? Daytime running lights or DRL for short.

Hi coldcut;
They are also your high beam (main beam) headlights - there are two bulbs, one is the DRL/sidelight John refers to above and the other is the halogen H1 55W high beam bulb.
