Hi,
Just joined and hoping to get help and maybe help others along the way. 2006 Fiat Ducato Sundance 630 MH owner for the last 18 months and starting to get to grips with what should be routine maintenance jobs.
Anyone out there who knows how to get the air filter housing out of the engine compartment will save my sanity!!!:):):)

Remove the two hoses first to improve access, remove the three screws from the air cleaner lid, withdraw air cleaner element. Rear screw is a pig to get at right angle screwdriver and correct bit is best approach.

With the top off there are 3 x m8 nuts in the bottom of the housing attached to rubber mounts. If they are rusty, wire brush the threads as best you can and apply penetrating oil. If they're still very stiff you'll probably need to hold the rubber mounts from underneath with a flat spanner to prevent the rubber mount tearing.

Waterproof or chain grease on the threads when refitting so you don't have the same headache down the line. I put stainless screws in the lid.

Other approach is write off the rubber mounts and keep turning the nuts , if they tear replace them.

Thank you Corcai, Have been trying to remove the housing along with the mounting bracket, It never entered my mind to go inside the housing itself (makes sense really).
Will give it a go this coming weekend.
Many thanks Anthony:):)
