Stilo Newbie....erratic revs !?

Hi,newbie 'ere,just checking in for a bit of advice.:worship:
I'm on my second Stilo now,just bought a 03 Dynamic Multiwagon for a snip,had a great 250 mile drive home after purchase,the beast flew !
Last couple of days i've had this erratic rev thing going on,she sits at 1000 rpm,long trips are great,around town tho the revs rise and fall slightly making it close to stalling at the lights etc.
Previous experiance points to maybe the coil pack/plugs etc,i've no warning lights or sensor faults.
Any advice welcome.....cheers chaps.

what is it petrol or derv and what size engine does it have

1.6 petrol mate

most likely throttle body control sensor dirty.
what i do is just remove the plastic intake pipe from the airbox to the throttle,
then you will see a butterfly valve, push that open and spray some carb cleaner in there.
then start the car and spray a little more. this has worked every time on both of my 1.6 over the years.
