Helllooo! After searching the web for a fiat owners club that's still up and running and active, it looks like i've finally found one, ha! Just literally registered.

Not yet got a car, but will be buying a punto in the next few week, after finding an affordable insurance quote! I passed in April, but after seeing quotes of £5000, i was soon put off the idea. Found a scheme with co-op where they fit a tracker in the car so they can monitor everything! Might be a pain, but this looks like the only way of getting on the road, with me been a male and 17.

I'm from Huddersfield/Brighouse (HD6). Would be nice to find some locals! I've seen a few cars i'm interested in, just a case of deciding now (the worst part..). But, when i get my own set of wheels, i'll upload some pictures.

Sam.

Hi, And welcome to the FiatForum.

There are plenty of us about in Yorkshire. I help organize meets for YorkshireITALIA, im based in Huddersfield, Birkby for a matter of fact (HD2), well during uni terms...

I know how you feel about finding cheap insurance as a "youth". Persist with the comparision sites, dont get drawn in to the "tracker" (n)

I was insured on my 55plate Mk2 Punto. 1.2l 8v for £1.2k. keep an eye out for the 1.2l 8v's they are a very good car, and reasonably reliable. if you go for an Active spec model they are insurance group 3 ;)

But you will have to be persistant with companies though. nothings easy.

But look at it this way, im 20... i own a 1.8l Vauxhall Astra Coupe... £1.6k on insurance :D
