Right...a couple of questions...

Roof racks...I want a four sided roof rack, not a two sided (open back and front)...anyone got any ideas of where I could get one?

Blue&Me...do I need an adaptor for using the bluetooth handsfree or just the music or both?

Cheers

Hi, I'm unsure what you mean about 4 sided roof rack?

The blue and me system pairs to your phone for hands free phone calls, but you need to either use a cable into the USB port from your phone, or put your music onto a usb pen drive and plug into the same port.
It doesn't stream music wirelessly.

If your car was pre 2010 I think, then you did need an adaptor in between the phone and USB port.

Do you mean a roof carrier?

You'll need bars to attach it to:

I use Thule Wingbars on my Panda 4x4, very quiet, though prone to bumping my head on the ends when installing the kids car seats in the back. Wingbar Edge are apparently too narrow to safely fit all but the narrowest of roof boxes to, so options were limited. Speak to the people at Roofbox.co.uk - they're really helpful and price competitively (I've always had excellent service from them).

Re: Blue & Me, My iPhone5, once paired, connects seamlessly to the Bluetooth and can both make/receive calls wirelessly and stream music either wirelessly or with a USB lead connected. Charges perfectly etc (but does need to be a 'ready for iPhone' approved lead). For music playing, it's better to have the lead connected as you can browse your music catalogue via the steering wheel controls, whereas your passenger has to do this if wireless (though +\- track and volume commands work on the wheel in this instance). I guess it will depend on your phone and operating system?

PS - keep an eye on your roof load! I'm not sure what it the Kg limit is on the normal hatch but on the 4x4 it's not massive once you account for bars and a roofbox!

Stream music wirelessly? I don't think so. You can also use a stereo mini jack from your phone to the jack input but you won't have any track selection function via the wheel - it's a bit tedious anyway to be honest, the latest 500's have Bluetooth streaming to the UConnect system so I'm sure it'll reach the pandas soonish

I'm going to go and check! I was sure it did, but now wondering if I'm thinking about our other car (Ford).....
In fairness, I usually couple it up to USB, to allow charging, so it's a while since I did it on either.
