Hi All,
I have only just joined after I discovered this Forum on the net.
I live in Hobart Tasmania and judging by my quick scan through the members list , there aren't many of us down this way - lol.
I have a 1979 1300cc X19, which is in fairly reasonable condition and goes very well. It's my second X19 and their just such fun cars to drive, especially on Tasmanian roads which are relatively windy in some areas.
The X is relatively stock, however I recently fitted a Crane electronic ignition system to it and it works a treat and I'm currently building a new digital dashboard for it, as I prefer to see what is really happening with relation to Temp. Oil, speed etc rather than leave it to some gauge which is not all that accurate. BTW the standard Temp gauge is out by upto 15 Degrees C and the Tachometer 500rpm, which came as a complete surprise, hence my lack of respect for standard fitted instrument.
Incidently, my hobby is Electronics so i guess thats why I decided on the digital dash.
Anyway I hope to hear from some other Fiat owner in these parts and welcome the ability to talk to others about various problems that may crop up over time.
Cheers Jeff
