Just been on a 100 mile round trip with it and it runs so much smoother than the k&n or the standard air box, you get a nice response around 3500 revs

actually, you get bullied by friends for having a 5door, or at least i did lol
Oh, getting drunk friends in and out SO much easier in 5 door...
especially when you are the drunk friend!
tell u somehting, saved my upholstery due to 5 doors! m8 was sick on the road, if it were three door, can only imagine....probably still be finding bits...
on topic, dare i say it, it looks like a better design than the GSR kit for the mk1 8vs (peter would sell you a cinq sporting kit with an adapter if you asked)
the elbow looks like a lot more free flowing.
is there any way that you could lengthen the pipe to let the filter sit lower in the engine bay?

I found a little blue rubber extension in the kit earlier which i have now fitted so the filter part now sits directly behind the black plastic bit between the headlights that i have taken off so there it air being fed straight to it
you wouldnt mind unbolting that plate on your exhaust manifold would you and send it to me lol
my mate needs one must have been lost in a head gasket job
sorry mate, but it was taken off shortly after that photo and chucked out.
to be honest, you dont need it. that car has made it through 3 winters (4th hopefully) now with no pipe from manifold to airbox. makes no difference in our weak winters, even on cold days. (thats what water-jacketed throttle bodies are for, at least i think they are on the 8vs.)
