Well Hello to you all on this fine site..and judging by all the posts on the GP bit im going to need all the help i can get from it!!;)
Have had my 1.4 T-Jet Sporting for 5 weeks now, not my first Fiat actually,
i had a Seicento Sporting about 5 years ago, and a mk1 Punto about 9 years ago... so kinda have a bit of knowledge of Fiats...mmm... Not all bad either.
Thing is im having the dreaded brake squeaking..already booked in at the dealer... but saying its not a fault, so chargable to me..
Any body else had that?????

Yes car is new... But...i never bought it from them...i got it off the internet...Nothing dodgy, just from another dealer in england.

Will do! They mentioned to me that dealers do this out of "good will" usually. And because i never had the car from them, and this problem isnt warranty work i get charged...??

I didnt buy my panda from the dealer I use and they did work on my tailgate when it rattled and didnt charge me .. welcome to here (y)

Picked up my new GP today from a non main dealer,Was informed that if any problems occur to ring them and they would book vehicle into a fiat garage,or I could book it into a dealer myself as they were obliged to carry out any repairs under the warrenty ,and charge it to Fiat,(y)your dealer Sparky, sounds a bit of a conman.(n)
Let us know the outcome.

I did actually get the car from a Fiat dealer... but it was in grantham which is 96 miles from where i live, and they delivered it to me. I had no dealings with them as i bought the car online from a discount website, and they did all the ordering.
So thats why i have this small dilemma with my local dealer not wanting to do the work for free. i think they are going along the lines of its not a malfunction... more just bedding in problems..so not really warranty work!!
