Hello everyone

I've been browsing the forum for a few weeks now, but have held off posting until the day our shiny new Fiat arrived. As that day was today, I thought I'd say hello and post up a pic of our new Panda Easy 1.2 in Cancan red:

This will be my wife's car, but I'll be nicking it at every opportunity as it's more fun than my boring Astra! :D This is my second Fiat - my first being a 1992 Tipo Forza acquired in 2002 when it was 10 years old. I hope the Panda's heater is better than the Tipos!

Well, we've had the car for two-and-a-half weeks and covered 250 miles. So far everything has been great :) The Panda feels really composed and handles well, yet is surprisingly quiet and refined. The exhaust has a surprisingly noticeable burble on idle, but I see others have reported the same thing so maybe it will quieten down with time and a few more miles.

The only thing that I'm slightly concerned about is a noticeable metallic throbbing noise from the clutch/gearbox when changing from 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th. It is only audible if I rev the engine to about 3000 RPM before changing gear (below that I can't hear anything) but it's pretty loud. I might mention it to the dealer when I take it in to have the spare wheel (that they forgot to fit) fitted, but has anyone else experienced this? I thought there was a thread somewhere on here where a few people reported a similar noise, but I can't for the life of me find it

Rumour has it that the latest 2015 Panda 1.2 ltr's Euro-6 don't have a back box any-more and have instead the same big middle demper like the Twin-Air turbo.

That would be correct, panda's from around June 2015 were fitted with a middle box but no rear one. I'm not sure on the reason behind it.
