Hi
I have fiat ducato 1.9td Autoroller campervan 2000reg. It's just had new clutch fitted and it bites close to the floor is this normal. I did ask the garage who said it's o.k. as it wears it will move up.
Thanks

If that is a cable operated clutch the recommendation in the manual is that the cable is adjusted so that the normal rest position of the pedal (i.e. no feet) is level with the brake pedal.

I recollect that after I fitted a new clutch to my Talbot the biting point was also quite close to the floor, however I sold it before it wore down so can't say if it came up.

Hi,
It is a cable clutch and does rest level with brake pedal when up.
I suppose has the clutch wears it's bite moves up so that if it's near the top when it bites, clutch is perhaps on it way out.
Anyway thanks for your reply
