Hello,

I had a new clutch installed in May and have covered about 1000 miles since then. Since been fitted it has smelt like burning and still does at the end of my journeys, especially when it's been a long one.

I feel that it should be past the point of embedding itself in by now.
I sometimes have the problem that the gears won't engage when the clutch is fully depressed but at that point will easily go in when I lift the pedal slightly.

Is there anything I can adjust myself? Slave?
How long do you think till it burns itself out?

are you sure it's the clutch?
if you only covered 1k miles... the brakes might be sticking.

Take the care for a 30-40 km ride.. then put your hand on each wheel,, close to the hub... warm to hot is ok...as long as you can stand to keep your hand on the wheel.
