Fitted a Blaupunkt Lausanne CD31 but it only works when the Bravo is running, when the engine is switched off the cd player has the memory wiped clean eg. the clock. any ideas, is it the connections to the stereo? but the old factory fit stereo used to work without the engine on.
Cheers

Find Continuous power

I had the same problem, you need to find which wire is the continuous power and connect the player to this. I am sorry but I cannot remember which one it is.

Think I sold it to you!!!

Hi Les

You have no perminant live (only ingnition- therefore you loose the memory), sounds like the perminant live from you car is ging to the ignition live of the cd player, the ignition wire and 12volt live wires need to be swapped around, pop it back to me if you haven't sorted it and i'll have a look. It can be converted without chopping the wires.

Hope this helps.

Pins 4 and 7 on the ISO connector

Pins 4 & 7 are the switched & continuous power leads (though I can't remember which is which just now). I had the same problem with a Sony MD head unit that worked when my Punto had no ignition key in it, but would only work in my Bravo with the key in and turned to provide (accessory) power and would forget tuner memories when the key was taken out. I simply swapped the leads to pins 4 and 7 around & the problem was solved (I did it over 4 months ago & the car hasn't spontaneously combusted!).

Hope this helps. ;)
