Styling New Car - Alloy Advice Please!

Hey all, i'm new here as have just bought myself a punto (First Car )! Anyway it's a totally standard Punto Mk2 1.2 8v Active Sport and i'm looking to fit a nice set of rims to set it off better! Was thinking about OZ Superturismo GT's, but wanted some advice on a size as i don't want to lose any acceleration or steerage when wet etc! am i limited to 14" for this? as this is what i gather from reading previous posts! Would appreciate any advice!

P.S there's a picture below of my new car incase anyone's interested (it is rather standard tho lol)

Nice car mate welcome to the forum.. I would get 15s on her also the ideal PCD is 4x98 this is fiats fitment alloys 4x100 is vauxhall ford etc... But they can be made to fit with wobbly bolts..

ah ok i see! thanks for the quick reply are the Superturismo GT's the correct fitment for the punto mk2, or would they require wobbly bolts? They're really my prefered choice but could compromise for something similar if they were difficult to fit lol!

Yeah they will fit you will need wobbly bolts.. Heres the 15s on sumones punto from the forum punto mk2.5...

Great thanks! Will look up the PCD, found a guide earlier for a lot of alloys, will try there for fitment! Alloys look nice on the Mk2b, side profile is the same so i'm guessing they'll look just as smart on mine 15" wont give me any problems on wet roads? coz from what i read earlier even a 15" wheel caused understeer on wet roads and could be a problem!

My 15s aint gave me any problems unless im doin more than 40mph round bends but i would advise not to get cheap tyres buy good tyres and it should handle ok.. By lowering it also in the future will help the handle...

Thanks for the help, will probably go for the 15s i think! Still looking at a few different styles at the moment tho i still like the Superturismo GT's! Will post up the pics when i get them anyway

No problem mate.. Yeah wouldint rush into it take your time on picking the alloys your really into have a look around.. My cars black also i have the 15 wolfrace octane alloys pic of em down below.... The tyres ive got on em are 195/45/15.. :slayer:

Those were actually another one of the one's i was considering, i think black rims with the polished lip look really good on a black car although i was thinking multispoke sorta style might look better! don't spose u hav a pic of thm on your car do you 195/45/15 are the low profile yeah? i think they're a necessity with 15" to be honest coz they set the wheels off much better!

No sorry dont have a pic of them at the momeant mate yes 195/45/15 are low pro there a little dearer than the 195/50/15 there cheaper still ok though...

klkl nb! well i'm willing to pay a bit extra to make them look better personally! Just not rushing into anything coz i can only spend the money once lol!
