Didn't think the slider pins were that thick, what part are you trying to press? If the sliders were seized how did you get the caliper apart? Do you mean the pistons are seized?

I had to drift mine out with an old deep socket and lump hammer

sorry guys for the late reply
to remove the caliper you just undoo the 2 8mm bolts through the sliders
have sourced a local man with a 10 ton press so have to take both calipers off..have ordered new set of slider from auction site...so now need any tips/advice on bleeding system..never had bother with brake on previouse cars but this is my first van and its a duel system i think so any help would be great
thanks in advance...digger58...the sliders are 18mmx63mm so i was useing a bit of 12mm bar to push them up into a 20mm bit of tube welded on to my diy press but aven with a bit of heat+3 ton bottle jack they wont shift

Clamp the hoses and you won't have too much bleeding to do, if you're bleeding by pressing the pedal use short pedal strokes, the seals can be damaged by pushing the pedal too far as the seal goes into the area of the bore thats usually not reached which may be lipped, rough, rusty etc.

I just use a length of clear pvc hose over the nipple when bleeding you can see when the air bubble start.

About 3 years ago. I made a pressure bleeder from a weed sprayer. similar to this, http://faculty.ccp.edu/faculty/dreed/Campingart/jettatech/bleeder/index.htm, tyre places will give you old valves for free.

I left he wand intact, used two valves with the cores removed, I heated pvc hose in hot water and forced over the valves. This way you can remove the hose, reinsert he valve core and still use your sprayer as a weed sprayer.

thanks corcai

Keep pressure low on those - easy to pop your cylinder seals. Start very low 5/6psi, maybe up to 10. DON'T use a fully inflated spare!

Did my calipers yesterday, new seals, dust boots, slider covers and bleed nipple covers, one slider was very stiff, all fine now. just waiting for new wheel cylinders in the morning, whoever did the brakes last time greased everything so all covered in a nice thick gunk, wheel cylinders were weeping as well. No wonder brakes weren't great. Bought caliper kits in Belgrade on my way home last year for about €5 each side!
