Anyone know if there is plans to release a new/updated Bravo? if so any pics? Seems strange fiat would decide to get rid of the sport trim options from their website if there wasnt going to be some sort of new model, current one has been about 4 years, thats about the usual shelf life for a model.

Hi, the actual shelf life of current models is five years plus one year to sell up all the remaining manufactured models at bargain prices as the new model is introduced, that's a total of six years.

Back to your question, yes, the Bravo is due to be replaced in 2013 and it is being designed on the current Guilietta platform, so it should be head and shoulders better than this model we're driving right now.

It's got a lot to beat!

Expand on that quote, I'm interested to hear exactly how hard it'll be to beat?

Personaly, I don't think it has, the Bravo design is now four years old, it'll be seven on launch of the new Bravo. The new Bravo will have Guilietta chassis and rolling gear which we know is already ten times better than what we have, blah, blah.

It'll be like when the Bravo II replaced the Stilo, a quantum leap..............

what planet are you on?

I know the guilietta is riding on a supposedly better platform than the bravo's but what is the real evidence of that? they're not sports cars so unless you like taking your everyday car to the nurburgring every weekend, I do'nt see any benefit in that. Besides, in every review I read of the gulietta there's a complaint about the harsh ride.

other than the ugly leds, the only differece I can see between the guilietta and the bravo is the logo on the grille.

I'm not convinced that its that nice a looking car to be honest. Alfa tend to make beautiful cars and then the occasional oddball comes along. Brera for me once I can afford one...

Id agree with that, the Guiletta just looks a bit wrong. When you compare it to other Alfas like the Brera, GT and 159 it just looks ugly. Not sure what the Guiletta is like to drive though.
I always wondered why Fiat never tried to make a Abarth Bravo, they are lacking a real serious hot hatch to challenge the Focus ST, Golf GTI etc. Id have thought an obvious one would be to stick the 1.75tbi engine in a bravo, if they priced it right it would be a big seller.
