Thanks mate, its colour code 632, not sure of the actual name though... I read somewhere that they only ever made one UK Uno in black velvet metallic and was wondering whether it was mine or not :D

Maybe its the reflection of the trees :p

Seriously though, its got a very dark grey tinge id say, mainly due to the metallic-ness i think.

u've done a nice job on the sub matey :)

was it actually worth colou coding ur badges? [:p] lol

Nope, as well as 632 they had 900 Metallic Black and 813 Metallic Black. There was also 601 non-metallic black.

I certainly haven't seen one before in that colour Chris, other than the plain black that some of the Mk1 Uno's were painted in. Great colour though it is, it must be a pig to keep clean! Black colours show up every tiny bit of dirt, so I guess you must have given it a good clean/ polish before taking the pictures!

And Steve, the other black colours you mentioned, were they available for the UK market or only in South America?

Yep, its quite hard to keep it looking clean, but even harder to get a colour match when im spraying!

Ive just repaired my rear quarter panel cos it had a huge dint in it (not my fault btw :p) and decided to have a go at spraying! Ive made a right mess of it and will be going in to the bodyshop to let the pros do it now!!!

strut brace is awesome chris, cheers. looks the nuts under the bonnet too :D

whats next for ur uno then? engine swap being as its so clean and a rare colour?

Glad its good Dunc :D

My next mod is to get it relowered , prob 60mm, buts thats after ive got the bodywork sorted - in the bodyshop tomorrow

A 1250 punto engine is tempting at the right price but im gona wait until my little lawn mower engine packs up completely before i do that hehe
