New, and have immobiliser problem !!

Hey every one, im new to the punto scene so therfore have no experience with them at all !!.... Ive recently been getting a problem with the car and its realy pi***ng me off... Sometime the car wont start up they key symbol will stay on and wont go off it takes about 10 mins of faffing around i was wondering if anyone knew what this problem was or if they had came across it befor ? i was wondering if it could maybe be the transponder ? how can i diagnose it ? and also how do i get a hold of the emergency start card thing ? just incase it does this again ? .... thanks alot in advance...
