need some help please :) on when and how often?

hey all. just abit confused, hope to keep this nice and simple too with a basic guide

October 2010 i did a full detail.

What ive already done:

I used Meguires clay, SRP and then hd wax.

Obviosly i cant keep doing a 6 hour detail every couple of weeks when i want to clean the car.

About the condition of my cars paintwork:

I have ag aqua wax as a top up wax that i want to use and the car hasnt got any swirl marks and looks in good condition ( from my untrained eye but im pleased with it).the car is a 10 plate so only had it since april so paint work should be reasonably good. I dont think it needs any paint correction. i just want it to look shiney and keep it protected.

What next and when guide?:

Im looking for some sort of time scale guide to follow and basic directions to take me into the end of the year.

1) when should i clay the car again? (once or twice a year etc?)

2) when im NOT claying the car, how often can i go over it with SRP? (once or twice a year? or can it be done every couple of washes e.g once a month? i dont want to damage the paintwork.

3)how often can i go over it with hd wax?

4)when i do a basic wash, can i go over it with hd wax? or shall i just use aqua wax and leave the hd wax for my next full detail? i dont want to be wasting my time lol.

5) im considering a glaze.if i go for it when could i use it?does it remove srp? do i have to wait til i do a full detail again to use it? or can i just use it during a basic wash and put it over hd wax? (iv been recomended poor boys white diamond).

hope that made sence and i hope to keep it a simple guide so i can follow it to the end of 2011. im not planning to buy anymore products either (except maby a glaze) as i want to use up what ive got.

2 times a year unless your car isnt protected or parked under a tree for example

Inbetween 3-5 months depending when the wax protection is gone.

ag hd wax usually lasts between 3-5 months you will know whens its gon as there is no water beading on the bodywork.

Aqua wax as a top up but when bodywork is washed it will look just waxed as long as hd wax has been applied previously.

Poorboys white diamond Glaze is good when used via dual action polisher such as das 6/das 6 pro, Meguiars g220 etcI wouldnt use it by hand as there will be little difference. The best hand application polish for shine and filling swirls hands down is ag super resin polish.

The hd wax you have applied to your car will protect it from atmospheric pullutants. The super resin polish you applied is sealed in under the wax so the only time you need to re apply srp is when hd wax is no longer protecting ie no beading.

thanks bud. nice explanation . il do a couple of washes and my next full detail srp and hd wax will probly be middle of the year i think but il keep an eye out on the beeding as you said to see when it stops. thanks
