need help with oil leak on 1.2 52 plate punto sporting

hi my friend has a 1.2 punto sporting on a 52 plate and has an oil leak which pours out when you put new oil in i have done loads of research and think that it is the sump as it looks pretty pitted and dirty and has load of oil on it also the car has only done 52k, would this sump fit it http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FIAT-PUNTO-MK...arParts_SM&hash=item2eb53022a1#ht_1695wt_1139

Common problem...Can be a bear to come off, as no gasket just rtv. Reseal with rtv, seller should keep you right with application.

we did one a couple month ago not that hard to do but hardest part is the flywheel cover hides 2 bolts on the oil sump which is the hardest part roughly and hour should do it for the change

you sure this has the 8v engine and not the 16v engine?

after doing some reseach i think shes been ripped off lol is looks the same as the sporting and has the same interior etc but has this engine
