I need to find a new mk.1 Uno windscreen. Same-shape mk.2s are readily available but have decorative printed spots. I need a green tinted, unspotted one. Any ideas?

Alternatively, how to remove the printed spots from a mk.2 screen. They're usually on the inside face - I woder which face the green tint coating is (prob inside too) and whether it wd be damaged by removal of printed spots.

Really? It's a Lancaster Classic Insurance screen replacement (£50 xs) job. The AA Glass guy who turned up, with mk.2 screen ready to fit, said the mk.1 and 2 are identical in shape. I'm hopeful they know what to do to make it fit/seal. AA have been hunting around for a mk.1 screen, no luck, so it's up to me to find one and get Lancaster's approval.

Don't now how to remove the spots but if you fit a MK2 screen, I recall Alex GS having problems with a gap underneath - untill someone told him to use a MK2 rubber seal too (y)

Exactly right...
Actually my Uno Turbo front screen still seems a bit of a slack fit (small gap in top left corner). I think the difference is in the thickness of the glass. Newer screens are thinner.

Maybe get someone else to supply and install it and let it be their problem? It's a really simple job compared to modern cars, but obviously you need the right sized screen.

Personally I wouldn't be too worried about the dots or the tinting - very few people will notice (y) The first rainy day or driving into the sun, you'll appreciate having the new glass compared to a second-hand screen.
