Tis a sad day indeed.
My mate had a 91 (no cat needed mot time) MK3 Astra GSi in the only colour met blue, as standard it was a pretty slow car really, you had to rev the nuts off it to get it anywhere quickly.
It has potential tho, Robert eventually fitted a 6 speed Calibra Turbo engine with bespoke everything, Bilsteins, exhaust, intercooler, ECU you name it he had it made to scratch to his spec, thing made over 300bhp and went like stink, like 160+mph stink!
But this all cost over £22K including purchase price of £5500 back about 5 yers ago.
Out wordly the only give aways were the Compomitve MO's in white on 17" and the intercooler sitting in the apperture that was made for it in the front bumper, no chavvy kits or anything, looked very very nice, as it was almost standard looking. This is not his car but shows the colour
http://img210.exs.cx/img210/4118/d4ye.jpg and if you look at eth front bumper where the no. plate is that where his intercooler was with the no. plate being moved to front of bonnet with a stick on one.
