Bad news, another uno on it's way to the scrap yard
Just found out today that my Uno is as good as dead. The rust monster has been busy in the sill under the passenger door. I found this out when the jack went through the floor panel, luckily I had changed the tyre already and was lowering the car when it went through.
I got a qoute for £200 for it to be welded but it also needs the head gasket doing, a new tyre and the suspension arm replacing, strangely all on the same side.
Adding on the cost to have the MOT done it's just not going to be worth fixing. The real annoying part is before it decided to die I had replaced the cat section of the exhaust and patched up the rust on the passenger door aswell as buying new brake pads / shoes and suspension arm.
Before I let the scrap-man take it I'll be removing all the new parts I fitted and selling them allthough I'll have to be quick because the tax runs out at the end of this month and it'll have to be off the scrap yard.
