Had it for 6 days and it is in the dealers :(

Heard back from them today, serious electrical fault in the car network system (?) has knackered everything internal electric wise- full of warnings on dash with sod all working as well as the water leak.

Not good, not even got a a photo yet.

Anyone heard of this network thing before?

Not good, sorry to hear that!

i think i have heard of a tiny amount of similar cases, but not really bravo's tbh, mainly 500's.

hope the dealer gets it all sorted quickly and efficently, remember if the car is away for any length of time to ask for a goodwill gesture of some sorts ;)

Didn't buy it from that dealer and they have been good in all honesty (y). Can't get access to the system at all (I assume for diagnostics) and they are having a real tough time of it. I don't know whether to ask selling dealer to take it back and replace it with another used one- just a pity I bought it down south...

Pisser, must be hugely annoying :(
I wonder if it's one of the body computer failures I've heard about, something about that was mentioned (ok, I was listening in to someone elses conversation!) when I was picking up the silver beastie from the Fiat dealers in Inverness last week.
Fortunately, it's Fiat that will have to sort it - hope it gets fixed soon (y)

Yeah thanks for the sympathy- hugely annoying just about covers how I feel, but everyone can imagine how it is when a car gets faults so soon after getting ownership. My heart sunk when I heard it all from the dealer on the phone- was weird to see all my colleagues listening to the call even one of the directors came out his room- must have looked like I was going to slash my wrists!

On the upside better than my Dad- one of his motors packed it in 250m after picking it up from the dealer. At least I still have my old car on insurance.

I got the V5 in post today rubbing some salt in wounds . Noted that the last owner was Fiat Autos UK, so unlikely it has been treated poorly, crashed etc.

I hope the dealer gets to the bottom of it soon- electrical components can be changed until they work, the water leak concerns me most that they can't find it- can be a nigglely thing. If it goes on much longer I'll need to reject the car and the dealer to give me another one or refund me. :(

Suspect that means it was a pre-registered job (as was my Stilo) to boost sales figures etc. Hell of a lot of cars coming around like that these days.

I don't suppose, by any chance, that there's a strong smell of screenwash in this damp patch?
As the Bravo is based on the 5 door Stilo floorplan it's possible that it's inherited one of the five door Stilos wee niggles....... a leak in the rear washer piping. It wasn't all that common, but when SWMBO was seriously looking at a 5 door Stilo (his and hers Stilos? bad idea  ) 2 of them had a damp patch in the boot which smelt strongly of screenwash :idea3:

Probably not, but would be a simple enough fix if it were the same problem.

I think it may well have been dealer or press demo in all honesty.

There is no smell of screenwash from memory in it- the screenwash bottle would be gone too with the amount there and I think it was in the wrong place but it is fair suggestion- happened in my Dads car a while back.

Lovely car, but too many niggles with it- need to start thinking with head instead of heart that if this happens at one year old think of the bill at 3 years 1 month.....

unlikley, tbh once the teething problems under warranty are sorted, it's no more likley to need any major repairs than any other car the same age.

most issues with newish cars happen in the first 6 months of being on the road

Hence why I'll almost certainly never get a new car. That and the depreciation hit of course.

It's all stuff that should be sorted with the dealer though. My used Stilo had some issues sorted by the dealer, but they probably created half them in the first place such is their incompetence.

Anyway though, hope the Bravo gets sorted ASAP or at least something else gets sorted for you by the dealers.

Took just under week but (just about) back in the game...(y)

Still need to get new boot carpet as the old one is soaked through on underside and it is on order, but dealer let me have it back.

They are having to send a yellow page thickness of wiring diagrams to Fiat UK to get paid, had to check virtually all the wiring in the car removing god knows how much trim, until the found a problematic loose connection. Leak was just a grommet and nothing seems to have got in the last few days rain however difficult to tell as it is still damp in there.

Good to get it back to full health was mighty peeved at it being sidelined!

Good to hear you got the car back. Hope you have better luck this time, happy motoring.

Yep well chuffed to get it back- pity the weather is so awful. Seem to have got 15% off a next service too....
