Can someone give me advice about the size of tires for 18 inch rims. Factory specs are 225/40 but i think in this case tire is a little bit strech but 235/40 is wider and it's in vertical line with rim and looks better to me and more safe for alu rims. What will i loose with wider tire , is it noticeable difference in fuel economy or something else or minimal. What's your advice?

In all honesty wider can only be better for traction surely?

The one thing is, I'd watch the steering. The standard 18-inch alloys fiat supply use a different steering rack or something. Because they rub. You lose some turn basically. In fact the body numbers for bravo are different for those with 18's to those without. Having a wider wheel may cause more of an issue. Though I've heard of people on these boards who have fitted the 18's and not had issues.

I have 18s with 225/40s and can't see any reason to change tyre size at all. As far as grip and handling is concerned as long as you have good tyres you will be fine, not once I have I ever felt out of control behind the wheel.

Same here, just checked eBay and it is £120 for the eyelids/brows. Can't afford that unfortunately
