LOL! I bought myself a fiat uno for a run around while i was selling the tipo and it was a little love machine, it was my 4th uno and my 3rd mk1, i trusted its reliability so much that me and my mate were going to do a road trip to italy in it. I have got nothing but love for uno's and that will never change and i know i will own one again soon :worship: :worship: :worship: :)

My old 1987/45 made a 6k km all-around Italy trip in 2002, another one to Southern France in 2003, which both involved climbing the Alps.
The only thing to fix was engine overheating in trafic jam in Saint-Tropez due to water leak from the lower radiator hose, which was instantly fixed with a bathroom silicone from local Auchan and a piece of wire ;) .
In both cases, it carried 2 persons and it was topped-up with camping equipment.

My old uno (a 75 IE sx mk1) drove me from the netherands to kroatia (total distance 1250Km) in just 11 hours, and that was including the stops.
That doesn't sound fast, but I ashure you it is, considering the last 400 Km in Slovania, and Kroatia it's even hard to reach the 100Km/h, becouse of the bad roads, and the slow traffic.

I did the trip alone, with just some camping/sleeping gear in the car, and a case full of cd's and a jerrycan with spare fuel.
It drove like mad on the german highways, on the most left lane (same as the most right one for you uk people..:) ) hitting top speeds of just under the 200 Km/h (194 Km/h to be exact).
And that for an 87 uno, that done nearly 200.000Km.
It didn't use any oil or anything else than loads of fuel on that trip.. but it was worth it..
I took off on a thrusday evening (afterwork), stayed with me dad who was there allready) on a campsite, and drove back saterday evening..:)

I will put up some pictures of the car, once I sort out my scanner, like I said in an other thead I still cry sometimes when I realise I sold it..
