Hi I'm gonna convert my mom's car who died last year in memory of her she left me a little seicento with a bust engine so I'm gonna try to convert it to a 1.4 16 valve so im in need of help i aint just joined for that as ive been a member before but lost my log in details last time i built up my punto gt from the pistons up a finished the project but now fancy doing this for my mom so i would like to ask all kind people to help as im in need off all information regarding a engine swap ecu advice as im not quite sure wot ecu to run or wot set up thanks.steve

I've done a lot of searching I understand how to transplant the engine and mod all brakes but I'm in sure wot to do with the ecu I heard one bloke used a punto ecu so I'm wondering if some one else has heard that or does it have to be an programmable ecu cus I ain't got a clue with wireing so I was thinking is there any like plug and play way or y can't I use the stilo loom on the under bonnet section lol it's so confusing but thanks for the input.steve

You can use a punto engine harness, ecu, codebox and ignition barrel from a punto sporting, some splicing is required on the punto end to make up to a connection (d4)
Allot easyer then done than said in this case!

Honestly I hate wiring too, but this is no trouble compared to converting a Subaru to a WRX ??

Not as simple as playing with a d4 connecter if it’s mpi a little more detail about the car is needed before anyone can give you any real advice when it comes to wiring

It is an mpi I don't know which is the best way of going about it wot if I get rid of the mpi and put twin 40s in place would it be easier to tune then all I have to worry about is the spark I'm just wondering wot is the easiest way to put the 1.4 16v into the seicento 1.1 mpi 02 reg is there an engine with a strait swap even a newer model or some think pulse had a look on eBay today and had no mk 1 parts like inlets or loom lol
