Hi everyone, im Colin from Leigh in Lancashire, have just bought a Punto mk 2 on a 53 reg, its a 1.2 Active. The wife chose this as our Mercedes A Class had cost a fortune over the last year and the garage advised us to part exchange it very quickly !! We only need a small car so hopefully this Punto will prove a lot more reliable. So far all in all i have been impressed with it in the week that we have owned it.

Yeah mercs are quite notorious tbh. Enjoy the car, get a good one and you will have no trouble . Very very simple cars to work on.

Thanks a lot, Mercs are notorious for problems, i was a member of the mercedes owners club and the forum there was packed full of owners with problems and being a merc it was always expensive problems.

Yes i did and i was actually one of the few owners who had it working!
My problems involved diesel injectors welding themselves to the head, a real common problem with them.
